In 1910, the USA began to actively have a special day for papas, and with this came Father’s Day. This time was put aside to recognize the important roles fathers play in the family constellation.
But with this desire of having Father’s Day on the same plane as Mother’s Day, we dads know we cannot compete with Mother’s Day! We are smart enough to realize we are like a junior varsity basketball team going five against one with the one woman being Seattle Storm’s Sue Bird.
Mother’s Day became an official U.S. holiday in 1914, whereas fatherhood did not join the national holiday...
