Ciaravino announces sudden resignation

City Manager cites personal reasons for unexpected departure

City Manager Michael Ciaravino has announced his resignation, citing personal reasons, after less than three years of directing Mill Creek's day-to-day operations. His three-year contract was set to end on May 6, making his resignation six months ahead of schedule.

On Tuesday, during a more than two-hour-long executive session, City Council approved a "settlement agreement and general release" as a term of a separation agreement with Ciaravino. His resignation will be effective immediately; however, he will remain available when requested to assist the City in the transition of certain key...
