Local church to pack 50K meals for African families in need

Each package contains six meals and can provide for an entire family for a day. The boxes that meals come in display colorful drawings and positive messages from the church's youth.
On Saturday, Aug. 14, Mill Creek Foursquare church will be packaging meals for families in Banta, Sierra Leone, in partnership with Children of the Nations. The church's goal is to assemble, box, and ship 50,000 packaged meals.
Harmful mining practices have decimated the land and villages surrounding Banta, impacting the local community's ability to grow food. COVID has also limited people's ability to purchase food.
