Fauci: Vaccine for younger kids by end-of-year

Ages 12 to 15 are cleared to vaccinate with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. By end-of-year, clearance is expected for younger kids. The vaccines are proving effective, even against disease-variants.

The top doctor for the United States government predicts vaccination for COVID-19 will open up to all kids, by the end of this year.

Dr. Anthony Fauci said the data is pointing toward approval for kids. Completed vaccinations continue to show safety and efficacy for vaccinating kids against COVID-19.

The Pfizer vaccine is offered at health clinics, and is currently open to kids ages 12 to 15 years of age. Dr. Chris Spitters, Health Officer for the Snohomish Health District, advises parents to favor a pediatrician visit for vaccination. The reason is to give a doctor a chance to assess ove...
