I broke the rules a little bit for this Arts & Appetite restaurant review. I traveled over the border – the Snohomish-King County border, that is. It is barely a quarter-mile over, across the street from Costco at 200th and Aurora. It was worth it.
There, in a very unassuming strip mall pushed right up against the sidewalk (parking in back), you will find the Rise & Shine Bakery. This extremely small bakery makes Vietnamese sandwiches, baguettes (a little softer crust than their French counterparts), and pastries from scratch, and sells both retail and wholesale.
