Media. Information. Democracy. Freedom. It's all on the line right now, and surely you all see that, right? People get it?
"The right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins" is one quote used to overlay notions of freedom. It is credited to more than one speaker, including Oliver Wendall Holmes.
But in reality the quote is one that can only be used as a metaphor to be truly apt because a throwing a punch – missed or landed – is an act of assault. Yet, that makes the metaphor even more apt, in a time...
