Mill Creek businesses may qualify for CARES funding

$236,000 committed so far

Federal CARES Act grants are available to Mill Creek businesses and service organizations through the City.

The $600,000 in CARES funding available to Mill Creek businesses is quickly approaching the halfway mark in committed funds, just four days into the process the City created to distribute it.

A consultant was hired to help navigate the federal application process, to make sure applicants are not violating any federal rules. The grants have limits: businesses that qualify must show a 25% loss in April, in the wake of a worldwide pandemic declaration that was announced March 11. Businesses cannot "double dip" and access a grant in a stage of the pandemic that they already accepted grant fund...
