Students at the Everett School District will be fully remote until Jan. 11.
In January, the district hopes to bring the youngest students back "if health conditions allow," Everett Schools superintendent Ian Saltzman said in the video.
The shift in plans for a January restart is a change from earlier in the fall, when schools were considering hybrid onsite and remote plans, starting with the youngest students and moving to older students according to health data. A shift in starting that plan was motivated by the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases over the previous several weeks.
