A County Council member removed and widely apologized for a meme intended as a call to "be a bright light," but received by some as a nod toward violence against police.
"My intent was not in any way to condone using violence," County Council member Megan Dunn told the Beacon of her Facebook post. She said in her online post that she is the daughter of a firefighter and member of a military family. She said the post was not a nod to violence but one to reform.
