In 1989, the U.S. military went into Panama to extract an installed dictator, Manuel Noriega. There is much to this story that every American should know, but that is another story.
Because Noriega was able to get himself to the Vatican’s embassy, we followed diplomatic protocol and did not pursue him inside, but our troops had another idea to force him out – noise pollution.
For several days, he was treated to a DJ’d attack mix of Guns N’ Roses, KC & the Sunshine Band, Alice Cooper, Kenny Loggins, Van Halen, and many more.
Brilliant.
