Road rage may have led to late night shooting in Safeway parking lot

A 24-year-old security guard is being questioned in connection with a shooting just before midnight on Thursday, June 6, in the parking lot of the Safeway store at 16304 Bothell-Everett Hwy.
Police responded to a 911 call at 11:45 p.m. to a reported shooting that left one man with multiple gunshot wounds. The security guard told police he had shot a person who displayed a firearm after what police described may have been a road rage incident in the parking lot.
The shooting victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His medical status is unknown.
