John Steckler appointed to vacant seat on City Council

Semi-retired businessman John Steckler was sworn-in by City Manager Rebecca Polizzotto to serve a two-year term on the Mill Creek City Council on Tuesday night, Feb. 6. The long-time resident was selected from a field of 16 applicants who had applied to fill Position No. 1 on the seven-person governing board.
The Mill Creek City Council voted to appoint John Steckler to fill the vacant seat on the council at its meeting on Tuesday night, Feb. 6 meeting. The appointment is for a term through certification of the general election in 2019.
“I am honored to be selected,” said Steckler. “This City has given so much to me and my family, and it is a privilege to be able to serve on the Council and give back to my community.”
