Junior quarterback Ayden Ziomas had a hand in all five of his team’s touchdowns to lead Glacier Peak to a 40-27 victory over Cascade in the Wesco 4A season opener for both teams Friday, Sept. 15, at Everett Memorial Stadium.
With the Bruin defense focused on taking senior wide Bo Burns out of the game, Ziomas connected with junior wide receiver Evan Mannes on touchdown passes of 45, 31 and 41 yards. Ziomas, who completed 13 of 20 passes for 296 yards, also threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to David Castro and ran for a 7-yard score. Ziomas finished with 129 yards on 12 carries.
