Stiff penalties included in new contract for city manager

The City Council rewarded City Manager Rebecca Polizzotto with increases to her base salary to keep her in Mill Creek until 2019.

The council voted unanimously to add pay $2,500 hikes to the city manager’s annual salary of $170,000 she is contracted to receive beginning in January of 2018. The new contract also includes a Retention Bonus of 10 percent of her base salary, with penalties if Polizzotto leaves before the end of the contract.

The penalties call for 100 percent of the bonus to be returned if she leaves before June 30, 2018. The penalty drops to 75 percent at the end of 2018 a...
