The Archbishop Murphy boys lacrosse team is off to the best start in its three years of existence.
The Wildcats are 7-0 and are in sole possession of first place in the 1A/2A Northwest Division. Archbishop Murphy went 0-10 in its first year and then was 5-7 and advanced to the postseason last season.
The biggest difference? Experience.
“Our players who started the program are now seniors,” Archbishop Murphy coach Eric Vaughn. “We have 11 seniors who will be graduating. We have a lot of experience. They work together really well. They’ve worked really hard the last few years.”...
