Bending light: ‘Flower Tower’ to illuminate TEDx

Mona T. Smiley Fairbanks’ “Flower Tower” installation is part of the TEDxSno-Isle Libraries event at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Pacific Northwest residents may sometimes wish they could manipulate light – mostly to shed more of it on us, especially on cloudy and rainy days.

Those attending the second annual TEDxSno-Isle Libraries speaker event at the Edmonds Center for the Arts Friday, Nov. 18, may not be able to go that far, but they’ll have a chance to manipulate light as they’ve probably never done before, thanks to Edmonds artist Mona T. Smiley Fairbanks.
