Earthquake expert to discuss quake danger

Seattle Times science reporter Sandi Doughton will speak about earthquakes at several local libraries.

As part of the Great Washington Shakeout, Seattle Times science reporter Sandi Doughton will speak at several Sno-Isle libraries on how to be safe during big earthquakes.

Doughton is author of “Full-Rip 9.0: The next big earthquake in the Pacific Northwest.”

Along with her presentation, “Shake, Rattle & Rebound,” Doughton will lead discussions of the earthquake risks in the region, the potential impact of a major quake on people and economy, and ways to better prepare for those impacts, both individually and collectively.
