Chief Greg Elwin selected leader in ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ reveal event

Mill Creek Police Chief Greg Elwin is one of 12 Snohomish County men selected to participate in the American Cancer Society’s “Real Men Wear Pink” fundraising campaign.

Throughout the month of October, Chief Elwin will encourage the community to take action in the fight against breast cancer.

“I am honored to be part of the “Real Men Wear Pink” challenge! In addition to wearing pink and raising awareness about breast cancer, I’m committed to raising funds to help the American Cancer Society save more lives from the disease,” Chief Elwin said.

Each of the men will compete to be the top fundraiser among the other candidates by the end of the campaign. The 2016 “Real Men Wear Pink” candidates were revealed at a private reception at the Trails End Restaurant in September.

There are many ways to help. Donors can visit Chief Elwin’s ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ website and click on the “Donate” button. Go to: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?px=44006033&pg=personal&fr_id=78172

You can also join thousands of others who are supporting the campaign, along with Chief Elwin, by participating in a walk on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Port of Everett. Find out more here: http://makingstrides.acsevents.org.
