Edmund Gregersen: 1924-2016

Edmund Gregersen, 91, of Mill Creek, Washington, died May 18, 2016. He spent his final days surrounded by his loving family.

Edmund was born in Flakstad, Norway, August 12, 1924, to Emil and Elinor Gregersen. They immigrated to America when Edmund was one year old. They made their home in Ketchikan, Alaska. He graduated from Ketchikan High School and then served in the Coast Guard during WWII. After the war, he joined his brother and friends at Washington State University, completing his education at Seattle University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commercial Science.

He married Mary Ann Carroll and they were happily married for 55 years until she passed away in 2004. They spent many happy years at the home they built in Edmonds, Washington, on Alder Street.

Edmund worked at and subsequently owned Central Fabricators Inc. for a combined total of 50 years. He loved "the shop" and had many fond memories of his employees and customers.

He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law; Carole Fett (Doug), Janet Gregersen (Dennis Adams), and Susan Epps (Roger); his grandchildren: Daniel, Greg, Robert, Anna, Leslie, Trevor, and Mary; his brother Leif, his brother-in-law Neil Carroll, and eight nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne, his mother and father, Emil and Elinor Gregersen, his sister Nancy Johnson, and his nephew, Dean Stavee.

A Celebration of Life was held on May 28, 2016 at Merrill Gardens in Mill Creek. Edmund was laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park in Edmonds, WA.
