With a 68-5 record this season and the No. 1 ranked robot in their district, Jackson High School's robotics Team 2910 Jack in the Bot clinched their second FIRST Pacific Northwest (PNW) district championship.

This is the 10th consecutive district win for Team 2910, which has not lost a district event since 2018.

In an email to staff, Assistant JHS Robotics Coach Kiley Branson shared, "We were undefeated in all events this season and came in first place. We are now currently the top-ranked robotics team in the PNW district! These robotics students are truly phenomenal, not only with all things robotics related, but are also just fabulous young adults."

Out of 124 teams registered in their division, from Alaska, Oregon, and Washington, only 18 teams from the Pacific Northwest advance to the world competition held in Houston April 20-23.

Superintendent Ian Saltzman noted, "Robotics is a team sport in Everett Public Schools. I have seen how the competition is fierce, but these kids support each other too. Even when a team gets eliminated, they are right there cheering for the other teams."

"I am extremely proud of the students, coaches, and mentors with all they have accomplished this season," added Kyle Pihl, JHS robotics coach. "They have done truly amazing work this year and all sights are now set on the strongest possible performance we can put up in Houston.

"We will compete against the best from thousands of teams worldwide. I have no idea how we will do, but I know it will be our best."
