Our athlete of the week is sophomore wrestler Shae Burke. Shae was the sole wrestler from the Archbishop Murphy High School wrestling team to qualify for the State Tournament. After finishing the regular season at 6-6, he stepped up his game when it mattered the most. Shae proceeded to take 1st place at Districts in the 195lbs. weight class, then took 3rd at Regionals to qualify for State. Throughout all of this, Shae had key wins and showed grit and determination to become a top 15 ranked wrestler in the state at 195lbs.
