Council authorizes mayor to purchase fire station 76; fire commissioner doesn't support

Part of the process to be annexed by South County Fire District

Mill Creek City Council members authorized Acting City Manager Martin Yamamoto to purchase Fire State 76 for over $1.1 million as part of the process for South County Fire District to annex Mill Creek.

City Council members were unanimous in their support for the $1,160,395 purchase of the fire station near Town Center on 153rd Street SE. The purchase price was specific in previous contracts the city had with Snohomish County Regional Fire, which currently owns the building, and offers fire service to Mill Creek residents.
