Our athlete of the week is junior boys' basketball player, #11 Luke Blachly. Through 9 games in January, Luke averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. Any given night, whether it be practice or a game, Luke is always ready to play. He enjoys competing at the highest level and is a true gym rat. Often times, he's asked to guard post players that are taller or stronger and he refuses to back down. He had double digit rebounds in two of these January games with 10 against Edmonds-Woodway and 14 against Everett. In addition to being a great teammate and athlete, Luke is also an outstanding student with a 3.6 cumulative GPA.
