John Lovick gets seat in state Senate

The Snohomish County County recently selected Mill Creek resident John Lovick to fill the state Senate seat vacated by Steve Hobbs, who is the state's new Secretary of State.
Hobbs replaced Kim Wyman, who resigned to join the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
Lovick, 70, was formerly a Democratic state representative serving the 44th Legislative District, which serves Mill Creek. The County Council selected Brandy Donaghy to replace Lovick's House seat. She joins Rep. April Berg at the 44th District's two representatives.
