Council appoints Martin Yamamoto to temporarily perform manager's duties

Immediately after last week's city council meeting, where the Council approved a separation agreement and release, former city canager Michael Ciaravino signed the agreement formalizing his resignation, effective Nov. 16.
Consistent with his employment agreement, the City will pay Ciaravino six months' severance pay and costs equivalent to six months' medical insurance for him and his dependents under COBRA. In exchange, as contemplated by his employment agreement, Ciaravino signed a comprehensive agreement releasing any claims against the City.
