Veteran’s Day is on Thursday, Nov. 11, so let us examine the fact that, as our nation’s battles keep rolling on, so do the medics’ “meat wagons” continue to evacuate those WIA (Wounded In Action). Ever since 2001 they have transported probably around 40,000 of our battered warriors.

After reading the “Astounding Advocacy” article in my July/August 2021 DAV (Disabled American Veterans) magazine, I was touched by the heroics of a Green Beret who, due to a “friendly bomb,” lost several of his body parts while serving in Afghanistan.
