Everett Animal Shelter to host weekly low-cost pet vaccination clinics

Last updated 10/27/2021 at 12:04pm

The Everett Animal Shelter will host weekly low-cost pet vaccination clinics for dogs and cats at the shelter (333 Smith Island Rd., Everett), beginning Friday, Oct. 22.

The low-cost pet vaccinations are available by appointment only to pet owners who meet income thresholds in Snohomish County. Microchips, flea treatment, and de-worming will also be available.

"Vaccines save lives, and that includes our beloved pets' lives too," said animal services manager Glynis Frederiksen. "We're excited to be able to provide veterinary care to protect pets from diseases and help them live long, healthy lives."

Distemper (DAPP/FVRCP) and rabies vaccines will be available to eligible pet owners for $15 each, per pet. Microchipping, flea treatment, and general de-worming will also be available.

The DAPP vaccine protects dogs from distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvo. The FVRCP vaccine protects cats from feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.
