Glacier Peak cruises to victory, Jackson falls

Glacier Peak bounced back from its first loss of the season with a decisive 49-20 victory over Mariner in a Wesco 4A football game Friday, Oct. 1 at Goddard Stadium.

Quarterback River Lien completed 10 of 12 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and Ryan King rushed for 89 yards on eight carries and scored a TD. Trey Leckner had 66 yards on six carries with two touchdowns. Glacier Peak (1-0 in the league, 4-1 overall) was coming off a 49-14 loss to Marysville-Pilchuck. Jackson (0-3, 2-3) fell 40-6 to Kamiak.
