School has been in session for nearly a month now, and there continues to be excitement for being back in-person. Students, staff, and teachers were so happy to see each other, and to be able to resume in-person learning. The first few days of school were spent re-acclimating to a school environment, understanding classroom routines, and reconnecting with social-emotional learning activities.
As I mentioned in my September column, social and emotional supports are just as important to our students as the health and safety protocol, as many struggled with the impacts of COVID.
