UPDATE: Plastic bag ban NOW in effect

Town & Country Market has already swapped plastic bags for paper ones in the self-checkout machines. In an effort to reduce plastic littering and waste, customers will be encouraged to bring their own reusable shopping bags.
Beginning Friday, Oct. 1, the statewide ban on single-use plastic bags will go into effect.
The bag ban prohibits the distribution of single-use plastic carryout bags by restaurants, retail, small vendors, and grocery stores.
