A fish ladder built in 1935-36 is located on the north side of Seattle Hill Road, about 220 yards east of the Bothell-Everett Highway.

On Sept. 30, 1983, 1.92 square miles became a city, but my search on how this happened has been a long, drawn-out adventure. And, like using a fading flashlight's limited beam, I was restricted in my quest of "Where are you? I know you have to be somewhere," and that kept gnawing at me.

So I continued to ramble around bookstores. My focus, and perhaps my mistake, was on books published by Arcadia, which has generated books about cities within Snohomish County. So, with that publisher in mind, I was hoping to eventually find at least one book about our own City of Mill Creek.
