After over 20 years of working for the City of Mill Creek, senior planner Christi Schmidt submitted her resignation Aug. 26. She will transition to a planning job at the City of Lake Stevens in the coming week according to a report from the News of Mill Creek.
It is a better-paying career with more opportunities for advancement, according to Schmidt.
She's not the first to leave. Mill Creek's Planning Division has lost three long-term employees in the last two years, including Schmidt. Kim Mason-Hatt was laid off in 2020...
