City loses another long-term employee

Senior planner resigns from City's Planning Division

Report from Richard Van Winkle, News of Mill Creek, September 3, 2021.

After over 20 years of working for the City of Mill Creek, senior planner Christi Schmidt submitted her resignation Aug. 26. She will transition to a planning job at the City of Lake Stevens in the coming week according to a report from the News of Mill Creek.

It is a better-paying career with more opportunities for advancement, according to Schmidt.

She's not the first to leave. Mill Creek's Planning Division has lost three long-term employees in the last two years, including Schmidt. Kim Mason-Hatt was laid off in 2020...
