Firefighters respond to vaccination mandates

Firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics serving Mill Creek are now required under state mandate to get vaccinated by Oct. 18 or risk losing their jobs.

Gov. Jay Inslee's recent mandate that state workers, educational employees, and health-care providers be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus has seen a mixed response from Washington's firefighters.

Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue (SRFR), serving Monroe, Clearview, Maltby, and Mill Creek, is planning to show full compliance with the mandate.

SRFR has approximately 260 emergency responders. Of which, more than 60% have been fully vaccinate...
