Archbishop Murphy kicks off the school year

Attendance for the school is almost fully in-person

Students and teachers of Archbishop Murphy High School get ready for their first week of in-person classes of the school year. Desks are spaced out giving plenty of social distance between students within the classroom. Students and staff are all required to wear masks indoors per state mandates.

Archbishop Murphy High School started its school year Wednesday, Aug. 25, with nearly full in-person student attendance.

The last school year was a fully remote learning environment and had gradually transitioned to hybrid classes since last September.

Since the beginning of March this year, the campus has been fully open to students for daily, in-person learning. ​​At the time, only about two-thirds of students had attended in-person, according to Principal Alicia Mitchell.
