Neck-and-neck race for Council Position 6

Melissa Duque and Adam Morgan advance to general election after primary wins

Updated results of the 2021 primary election on Thursday, Aug. 5, show that the City Council Position 6 candidates Melissa Duque (48.24%) and incumbent Adam Morgan (47.77%) will be advancing to the general election in November in their neck-and-neck campaign.

Shannon Warren (3.63%) trailed both. The top two finishers advance to the November general election.

The Beacon's efforts to contact Warren have been unsuccessful.
