Tight race for City Council Position 6

The first results of the 2021 primary election Tuesday, Aug. 3, show a tight race between Melissa Duque and Adam Morgan for the Mill Creek City Council Position 6.
Morgan narrowly leads the race with 48.02% of the votes with 1,333 votes to retain his seat on the City Council. Just short of six votes between the two, Duque trails with 47.8% with 1,327 votes.
Shannon Warren, with 102 votes, has 3.67% of the total votes.
14 votes, 0.5% of the total votes, were write-ins.
The top two candidates will be moving on to the general election in November.
