Cascadia Art Museum’s Youth Advisory Committee hosts a free virtual event exploring the relationship between music and art for all ages June 20 from 1-2:30 p.m.
In “Melodies & Masterpieces,” participants will explore the intersection between visual art and music in the Pacific Northwest featuring an informational lecture as well as an opportunity to delve deeper and create their own piece inspired by Pacific Northwest artists.
The committee is a teen advisory group that started this year. Four teens from the local Puget Sound region provide advice and insight on Cascadia’s programming, develop and host their own event for the museum’s community, and learn about the museum profession while gaining leadership skills.
The 2021 inaugural committee members include Ann Duan, Annalisa King, Sheridan Moore, and Sofia Vila Vignali.
