The soapboxing so common to the pre-pandemic era created a predictable pattern: All things in the past decade or more have been shoe-horned into camps on the left and right. Awkwardly and nonsensically at times, and in this era, negligently.
Now we have a chance to let that all go – for the children, or more precisely for the ones who are no longer children. For the Class of 2021, and everyone younger than that who missed a normal summer last year.
