State may spend $14 million for behavioral health resource

Compass Health provides immediate and long-term care

The Phase 1 state of the Broadway Development Center for Compass Health is scheduled to open in May. It includes 82 living units intended to house the chronically homeless. A $14 million Phase 2 to Compass Health's Broadway project is anticipated, in the state budget. Crisis stabilization is a service already used by the Mill Creek Police, and Compass Health says the service will improve with the new construction.

The $14 million anticipated as a windfall to support behavioral health in South Snohomish County is likely to stay in the state budget, and Compass Health is looking forward to the boon.
