Mill Creek is one of the smaller government entities considering a gap-law to address simple possession, undone by State v. Blake. The city will consider its ordinance on April 13.
Mill Creek is one of the cities deciding whether to pass a drug-enforcement law, or wait for the legislature to fill a gap in enforcement opened by State v. Blake.
The city ordinance to be considered on April 14 re-criminalizes simple possession of illicit drugs, including opiates that are in-hand without the proper medical prescription.
