This week, the City of Mill Creek is considering an ordinance filling a law enforcement gap left by a Washington state Supreme Court ordinance relating to drug possession.
The Washington Supreme Court Decision is referred to as "The Blake Decision." It is limiting what law enforcement can do, regarding simple possession, and it limits cities to a gross misdemeanor for that action. Previously it was a felony.
