COVID-19 uncertainty puts another damper on businesses

The county's annual Lodging Tax Small Fund Grant is paused again due to COVID-19 uncertainty, as it was last year, but it may re-open for projects planned for 2022.
The grant is used to spur tourism projects and bring people in for overnight stays. It can be used for marketing and promotion of visitor-related events, projects, and activities and aligns with the new 2018-2022 Snohomish County Strategic Tourism Plan.
Uncertain economic conditions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 caused the county to pause the grant cycle for projects that would have occurred in 2021. If re-opened...
