On Feb. 11, Garden Club members stepped up with a "Share the Love" food drive for the Mill Creek Community Food Bank. Members dropped off non-perishable food items, paper products, laundry soap, and personal hygiene items at Nancy Hedges' Juniper driveway where the donations overflowed Kathy Thomas's truck. On-hand to meet and greet, help load the donations, and hand out Valentine treats to all who stopped by were members Carol Connelly, Connie Hannam, Barbara Mills, Judy Morrier, Stephanie Morse, Kathy Thomas, and Nancy Hedges.

With just enough room in the truck for the driver, the goods were delivered to the food bank before Valentine's Day! A round of applause for these ladies who stood outside on a very cold day, just before the snow arrived. They wore masks, but they were all smiles underneath.

For the love part: MCGC members donated just under 1,000 pounds of food and $580 in cash and checks for our local food bank! Thank you to all who made February so special with a lot of love shown for others in our community. Way to go Mill Creek Garden Club, you've haven't lost that loving feeling!
