Vehicle stolen in Mill Creek while customer picked up take-out

A vehicle stolen in Mill Creek as the visitor was picking up take-out Sushi in mid-January was quickly recovered by police, but the incident served as a reminder.

"We want to remind citizens that they play an important part in reducing the likelihood of becoming a victim of vehicle theft," said Mill Creek Police Department's Corporal and Public Information Officer Ian Durkee. "It is essential that parked vehicles not be left running and unattended in parking lots or driveways, even for a few seconds. A vehicle theft can occur in seconds if a vehicle is left running and unattended."
