Heron Park picnic shelter open in Mill Creek

Improvements delayed for COVID-19

The picnic shelter at Heron Park in Mill Creek was improved as part of a project that was delayed due to COVID-19.

Heron Park's COVID-delayed makeover was celebrated on social media with a masked ribbon cutting, made public remotely.

"Come by to play on the new playground and see the upgrades to the picnic shelter at Heron Park during winter break," a social media post by the city says.

Mayor Brian Holtzclaw and Mayor Pro Tem Stephanie Vignal cut the ribbon to celebrate the completion of the Heron Park Play Area Upgrades. A formal Grand Opening Ceremony will be organized later this spring, said a City of Mill Creek post on Facebook.
