Old one was hit and crumpled, but replaced just in time

As ballots were prepped for mailbox arrival in homes around Mill Creek and beyond this week, the crumpled ballot box that sat in front of the Post Office was replaced.
"It's 1,000 pounds, which will hopefully keep it from having so much damage in the future," said Marjorie Rhodes, Mill Creek resident.
Rhodes and others have kept a close eye on that ballot box, which they use regularly to deliver their own ballots. Snohomish County Auditor Garth Fell recommends early voting, to assure that each vote counts. All returned ballots that go through the U.S. mail must be post-marked by Election...
