Mill Creek library still shuttered to visitors

Loosening of restrictions includes libraries, restaurants, pools

As a loosening of rules on Oct. 6 freed non-essential agencies to offer more options for visitors, the Mill Creek Sno Isle library visitors will continue to wait.

"Mill Creek is not one of the first to open," said Darlene Weber, managing librarian at the Mill Creek Sno Isle.

She said the combination of the library size and staffing needs means the 25% cap handed down by the state is not enough leeway to allow for both staff and visitors, at the Mill Creek Sno Isle at 15429 Bothell Everett Highway, in Mill Creek.

Sno Isle has 23 libraries and the agency is currently reviewing state orders...
