Mill Creek ballot box replaced

Ballot box hit Friday, replaced and relocated Saturday

Shown here is the Mill Creek Post Office ballot box the last time it was hit. Its replacement was hit today.

The ballot box at the Mill Creek Post Office was struck again, replaced, and moved to a new spot -- all within about a day.

The impact occurred at 2:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 23, said Snohomish County Auditor Garth Fell. It left the ballot box at the Mill Creek Post Office pummeled again. It was last hit in mid-October, by a semi-truck trying to navigate what some say is a tight maneuver.

Friday's incident led to the need for another ballot box, but the ballots inside were not harmed.
