A preliminary hiring decision has been made for the next Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety in Mill Creek, but the name of the new chief is not yet available, the City said, in a written statement.

The City is vetting the new chief, completing pre-employment background screening and similar testing required for the position, the statement said.
