City holds mask-giveaway on Sept. 29

The city of Mill Creek distributed 352 of the 4,500 free, reusable cloth masks available for a giveaway event on Sept. 29 in the City Hall North Parking lot, at 15720 Main Street, Mill Creek.

Recreation Coordinator Jay Sandstrom told the Beacon the plan is to create a "contactless" experience.

City workers spent time in advance of the event creating protocols. The plan was to set up a tent in the parking lot, with visitors directed to travel in only one direction while staying in their vehicles. Masks were bagged, to keep them clean as they were transferred to visitors.
